Something to Think About

So I've come to the conclusion that the human race is just one giant tumour on the Earth's surface. If you think about it, we're like the Earth's cancer. We're existing here, slowly eating away at our planet, killing it and the atmosphere around it, without even really meaning to. We're just doing so in our attempt to survive, just as cancerous cells do. The people who are trying to save the environment are the normally functioning cells, while the people who just don't really bother and go on living are like cancerous cells. It all makes sense. And one day, the Earth will no longer be able to fight off this terrible disease we call Mankind, and will die. What can we do? Maybe if every single person was environmentally friendly, it would be like Chemotherapy for the Earth, and it would survive. But what are the chances? How far gone will our home world be before this disease realizes that it's too late? Will they make an effort to change or just go on killing to thrive? By the time every human alive realizes this and makes a large effort, the planet will be a mere ghost of what it once was, and we will cease to exist. Some apocalyptic event or a pandemic or a disaster will not bring about the end of the world. We, ourselves will be the ones to end everything. That is what I believe. The planet has lived much longer with its sickness than any human can ever hope to, and much longer than the healthiest man alive. But even our world has a life span, and it is becoming shorter and shorter by the day. How much longer does our beautiful planet have?
Only time will tell.. Just a little something for everyone to think about.
